The Love of the Cross

“My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done” (Matthew 26:42). This prayer reveals Jesus’ mindset just before the crucifixion and His total submission to the will of God. His humanity dreaded the pain and sorrow He was to face, but His love for us and surrender to His Father’s will drove Him to the cross to redeem the world.

Palm Sunday

As Jesus made His triumphal entry into Jerusalem on what we know as Palm Sunday, He looked at the city and wept because they missed the true reason for His presence. The crowds wanted a savior who would free them nationally, but Jesus had come as their Savior to free them spiritually.  Are we worshiping Jesus for who he is and not for who we want him to be?

Good Friday Service

The blackest, darkest Friday of all took place in the first century—the day that Jesus Christ died on the cross for the sins of all humanity. Today we call it Good Friday. What’s so good about Good Friday? All of our sins were transferred to Jesus, so we wouldn’t have to bear them. And why did He do that? Because He loves us. We were the reason that He went to the cross. Jesus paid a debt He didn’t owe because we owed a debt we couldn’t pay.

Easter Sunday Service

Join us on Easter Sunday as we come together to praise the risen Savior! The heart of surrender says “God I trust your plan more than mine. I trust your ways more than mine. I trust that you have an outcome for me that is better than the one I can come to on my own.” The heart of surrender says, “Your will be done.” That’s the heart of Jesus and the heart he wants for us. Let’s praise Him and celebrate Jesus’ surrender, love, sacrifice, resurrection, and His gift of salvation.
