One of the most powerful yet subtle sins is pride. We excuse it and brush it off, or it sneaks into our faith and we’re blind to it. But God despises it! Why? Because pride builds a wall before us and keeps us from receiving God’s mercy. Jesus told a parable of two men who came to the same place to worship. One prayed to God thanking Him that he wasn’t a sinner. The other prayed to God admitting he was a sinner. Only one man left receiving God’s forgiveness-the humble sinner. Pastor Ethan reminds us to not let pride keep us from a true heart of worship.
