Understanding Genuine Salvation
Nicodemus was a Pharisee—a well-known, highly educated, and deeply religious man to whom others looked for direction and spiritual answers. He had spent a lifetime working his way into the Kingdom, trying to impress God with his obedience to law and tradition. Are you like Nicodemus, or do you recognize your brokenness before God? No matter how good a life we try to live, we can’t measure up to God’s perfect standard of righteousness. Today we learn that genuine salvation comes from above.
