Christianity played a vital role in America’s early history. But today we live in an American society which is sadly suppressing the name of God. God promised to Israel that, if they would repent and return to the Lord, He would rescue them. It is our duty as believers to continuously be humble, prayerful, seeking, repentant people so that sin will not hinder us. It may be that God in His grace will bless our nation as a result.
