In continuing His challenge of unbelief, and because of His mercy toward the crowd, Jesus used the first of seven “I Am” metaphors to help people understand who He is. “I am the bread of life.” Jesus has been sent into the world so that all who believe in Him can have eternal life. He’s the source of eternal life. Despite the reactions and grumbling, Jesus offers an invitation and says those who come to Him will never hunger and those who believe in Him will never thirst. Only Jesus can satisfy our hunger and thirst to be made righteous in the sight of God. The invitation is open to you! Will you accept it?
