After Jesus fed the multitude, He taught about the most important thing in life; stop being so consumed with the physical life and focus on the spiritual life—the life that will never end. The crowd seemed sure that doing the works of God would bring them salvation. Jesus told them, “the only work God wants from you is to believe in the one He has sent.” People today still want Christianity without Christ. Jesus is the only source of eternal life—not just temporary nourishment. Like Jesus, we must continue to challenge unbelief with the truth, while there’s still time!
