Closing Parables of the Olivet Discourse

The Olivet Discourse parables are not given to help Jesus determine who is saved and who is not, they are given to help us know if we are saved or if we are not. A mere outward show of faith is very different from true, saving faith. These parables highlight the differences of attitudes and actions between believers and unbelievers toward the Lord’s return.
