Palm Sunday of Passion Week
Sometimes by the way we live, it may reveal that we’re not really interested in knowing what saddens God. The same could be said of the crowds celebrating as Jesus rode into Jerusalem on what we know as Palm Sunday. The crowds terribly misunderstood why He had come. They wanted Jesus on their own terms—a deliverer and a Messiah who conformed to their plans. They wanted Jesus to destroy Rome but not their treasured sins or superficial religion. Being God, He also knew their future and this brought tears of sorrow to His eyes. Jesus won’t be Lord on our terms! So, when Jesus rides triumphantly into our lives, we want to welcome and accept Him and then adjust to His plan and purpose for our lives.
